To Configure TabStrips

You can edit tabs on AssetWise CONNECT Edition routes and/or pages for various objects such as assets, activities, comments, documents, for example. Using the TabStrips option, you can show or hide a tab, change the tab order, as well as edit the name of the tab.

You can edit tabs from the Launchpad or from the object.

Follow these steps to configure page tabs using the AssetWise CONNECT Edition Configuration utility.

  1. From the Launchpad, click the Configuration icon ( ). Configuration options appear.
  2. Locate the Instance Layout group.
  3. Click Tabstrips.
    Note: You can also select the Settings menu, and then select Configure TabStrip from an object that supports TabStrip editing. For example,
    The TabStrip Configuration page appears.
  4. If you invoked Tabstrips from the Configuration icon, then
    1. Select the Object Type from the list.
    2. Select the Route/Page that you want to edit.
      Note: The list of available options differs, depending on the selected Object Type.
    3. Select the TabStrip that you want to edit, from the list.

  5. To change the tab order, drag a tab to its new location and then release.
  6. You can toggle the hide/show option for a tab, by clicking the appropriate Visibility icon ( ).
  7. You can change the tab name, by clicking Edit ( ), then editing the text, and then clicking Update.
  8. You can cancel all changes and revert to the default route/page format at any time, by clicking Revert to Default.
  9. When you are finished, click Save Changes ( ).
Note: You might need to refresh the page so that the updates are applied.
